RP50 Guitar Pedal

I bought myself a 2nd hand Digitech RP50 today. I don't play my guitar much and one of the reasons is the crappy tone i get from my tubescreamer pedals. When i tried to test it out i noticed that my amp has developed a major fault on the clean channel and is unusable. I had to get out my daughters little 10 watter which i think sounds a lot better anyway. The pedal seems to have all i need to get a similar sound to my favourite pedal the ibanez fatcat although it's going to take some fiddling...

Missing Lulin

It's been too cloudy for me to catch a view of comet Lulin. With some luck the sky will clear and I'll get a decent chance in the next few days.

The Comet Hunter has Arrived

My first telescope turned up today, a cheap 114500mm from china. Now that i've started this is likely to be the first of many. I've always had an interest in astronomy but was holding out till i could afford to spend around $5k on a setup. However my daughter recently showed some interest so i thought it best to start now otherwise i might never have gotten around to it.

I chose to call this blog Comet Hunter as most other things i was trying were already taken but searching for comets might be a worthwile endeavour. Although it would be probably be easier to go digging in the hills for gold. I have an old version of Starry Nights that i'm using to find candidates for tonight, hopefully it'll be clear skies.

New Blog

Following the advice of Steve Wagenheim in a thread on the Warrior Forum i've set up another blog. The point of this is to capitalize on current search trends. I noticed "The Fifth Element" on the trends list and given that it is my favourite movie adding content over the next few days should be easy.

Busy Busy Busy

I've spent the last week coding like a demon. I'm working on pretty much a clone of a current application that i intend to add some extra features too. I started with Lazarus but it was a little limited for my needs. So i moved on to Turbo Delphi which is another freebie although not licensed under the GPL like Lazarus. Turbo Delphi is quite simple to use and learn and in my opinion DelphiPascal is the best way to get into programming. I hope to get few more updates done to the sites over the next couple of days if i can pull myself away from Delphi!
